José Carlos Sánchez (aka Charlie) is a Spanish instrumentalist (keyboards and trumpet) who moved to the business side and, with other musicians, co-founded the independent label DRO in the early 1980s, working with artists such as Hombres G, Duncan Dhu, and Fangoria.

After its merger with Warner in 1992, he expanded his management training and held leadership roles at Warner/DRO, ultimately presiding over Warner Music Iberia (Spain & Portugal) for 14 years and working with top talent including Andrés Calamaro, Fito & Fitipaldis, Extremoduro, Álex Ubago, Pablo Alborán, Melendi, Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Bosé, and Mariza.

He now runs his own label, Metales Preciosos Música & Discos.
