
He began his career as a record executive at CBS Discos, working in promotion, sales, and marketing.
He managed the U.S. Southeast market and later led the launch of Sony in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Latin Division.
During Sony Latin’s peak years, he presided over Sony Music Mexico and later, based in Miami, oversaw A&R for Latin America and the Caribbean. Ángel recently founded S.P.I.C. Music (Spanish People In Control), distributed by Sony, to highlight musical styles born from Latin, Indigenous, or African fusions and from U.S. American culture.
